Rose was born in Desjarlais, Alberta and grew up in Edmonton. On March 4, 1961 she married Norman Williams and in 2021 they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together. For 60 years they raised a family and travelled the world with each other. From countless family road trips, many winters in Hawaii, to cruising around the world, they did it all.
While raising a family of five in Brookside, Rose worked many years for the Edmonton Public School Board and loved interacting with the children in the office at Allendale School. From the highs to the lows, Rose was also a lifelong Oilers fan, and made sure to watch almost every game. If she wasn't watching a game she was sure to be found curled up reading a good book.
Rose always believed the kitchen was her office and she loved to cook and bake. Whether that be baking peach pie, making bumbleberry jam, or cooking unforgettable family Christmas dinners, there was nothing she would rather be doing. Except for maybe playing bridge. A true card shark, Rose prevailed in any card game and was known to many as one of the best bridge players around.
Rose also loved cross stitching. A cross stitch signed RW became her trademark gift, and a small piece of Rose can be found throughout her family and friend's homes.
Rose adored her seven grandchildren whom she was extremely proud of and loved her family with a passion. She will be forever remembered and loved by her three children Richard, David (Helen), and Patti (Greg), her seven grandchildren, Connor, Douglas, Adam, Erin, Kimberlee, Jasper, and Oscar, and her many friends.
