Shirley Catharine Hart

It is with sadness that the family of Shirley Catharine Hart (nee Franklin), announce her peaceful passing at home on August 14, 2020 at age 82. Born in Kitchener, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Veronica (nee Amlinger) Franklin, along with her five brothers and sisters. She was predeceased by her siblings and looked forward to seeing her family in heaven. She retired as an executive administrative assistant. She compassionately fostered children in need of care. Lovingly remembered by her daughter, Terry (Dale Gillis) and her son, Richard (Tammy Hart); grandchildren Kiera, Cole, Alex and Madison. She will be fondly remembered for her love of family, strength, generosity, creativity and compassion for others. Many will also remember Shirley for her wonderful sense of humor and the twinkle in her eye.

We would like to thank Dr. Shelly Smith for providing exceptional care to Shirley over the years, the Palliative Care Team for their support and Reverend Colleen Sanderson for her spiritual support and guidance.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Shirley’s memory may be made directly to the Cancer Agency of your choice.
