Victoria Ann Andreas Nikolaychuk

It is with deep sadness we announce that Victoria Ann Nikolaychuk passed away surrounded by her family. Vicky will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 49 years Peter, her children Noreen (Paul) Sveen, Nelson Nikolaychuk, and her grandpuppy Ruby Tuesday, who will miss her Baba. Vicky was born in Lamont, AB and grew up in Wostok, and moved to Edmonton when she was 17. When she was 19 she married her high school sweetheart “Poopsie” Peter.

Vicky is predeceased by her mother Nancy and father William Andreas of Lamont, her sister Joan Salahub and brother Albert Andreas.

In our sorrow, we remember Vicky not in her passing but in how she lived!

She loved to dance, cook, camp, fish, take casino road trips, entertain friends, plant flowers, watch her “soaps” and play cards with the gals. You heard her laugh and felt her warmth before you saw her. She was a kind beautiful mother, wife and friend. She will be remembered by countless family and friends.

Her sail's to the wind, she’s left this shore on her journey, we wave good bye through our tears but on another far away shore they celebrate, “I see a sail, and it’s Vicky!”

A viewing for Vicky will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton, AB. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Russo- Greek Orthodox Church, Chipman, AB, with Reverend Father Anton Filchak officiating. Interment will follow service in the church cemetery.
