Barbara Sue Wolfe

Barbara Sue Witten Wolfe went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 25, 2017. Barbara was born on April 11, 1944 to Robert and Bessie Witten. She was born in Alamosa, Colorado and graduated from La Jara School in 1962. She married Robert James “Bob” Hill on September 10, 1963 and they raised their family in El Cajon, California. On May 2, 1991, Barbara married Nathan Eugene “Nate” Wolfe. They made their home in Lakeside and Barbara lived there until her death.

Barbara was known for her hard-work and worked for 45 years at Toro Micro Irrigation. She loved to garden and spend time with her grand-kids. She was always moving and on the go.

Barbara was preceded in death by Bob, Nate, her parents, three brothers, Marvin, Charles and Richard Witten, and one sister, Betty June Witten Flavin. She is survived by one brother, Randy (Brenda) Witten, two sisters, Beverly (Bob) Westberg and Colette Hayley, and sister-in-law, Joyce Witten. She is also survived by her four daughters: Paula, Dana, Kristi and Melissa; grandchildren: Shawna, Tara, Brianna, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Joshua, Trevor and Jonathan; and great grandchildren: Owen, Autumn, Carson and Karter. She also had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was dearly loved and will be dearly missed by all.

Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in El Cajon, Granite Hills Ward on Saturday, April 29, 2017. The viewing will be at 10:00 am and the funeral will be at 11:00 am. A reception will follow immediately after the service. She will be interred in the El Cajon Cemetery on Tuesday, May 2nd next to her sweet, Nate.
