

Cora, a woman of grace and compassion, touched the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Lorren Ray Jensen. Their love story began in the '60s, with their first magical date at Disneyland, culminating in a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Cora's educational journey led her to obtain a Bachelor's degree, equipping her with knowledge and wisdom that she generously shared with others. Her professional endeavors were marked by dedication and passion, having worked at the San Diego Children’s Zoo and Education Department for 15 years before becoming a beloved teacher for special needs children in the Mountain Empire School District for 22 years.
An active member of her community, Cora found solace and strength in her faith as a Christian, attending East Valley Christian Fellowship.
In her leisure time, Cora found joy in nurturing animals, including Arabian horses, African finches, Australian finches, and beloved cats and dogs. She had a deep appreciation for nature. She also enjoyed writing. Together with her husband, she embarked on numerous adventures, exploring the world through unforgettable cruises to destinations like Alaska, Columbia, Peru, the Galapagos Islands, and the Amazon River.
Cora's agreeable demeanor, kindness, and intelligence left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her warm smile and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and the countless lives she touched throughout her lifetime.
A celebration of Cora's remarkable life will be held at East Valley Christian Fellowship on Ridge Hill Road in El Cajon, CA, where her memory will be honored and her legacy cherished by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace, forever remembered for her unwavering love and compassion.
