Kristine Annetta Nowell

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kristine “Kristi” Annetta Nowell, who left this world on June 24, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on March 7, 1972, in Nevada, Kristi was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend whose gentle spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kristi was the cherished daughter of Garvin Thomas Nowell Jr. and Dottie Tweed Nowell. She was preceded in death by her father, Garvin “Tom” Nowell, and her beloved sister, Gina Armbruster, whom she missed dearly every day. Kristi is survived by her son, Josh Ferguson, and her two sisters, Darrie Spahr and Kim Nowell.

Kristi’s professional life was marked by her dedication and service as a Code Enforcement Officer with the Fort Worth Police Department for 13 years. Her commitment to her work and her community exemplified her sweet and loving character, and she always strived to make a positive impact on those around her.

Beyond her professional achievements, Kristi was a woman of many passions. She found joy in reading and expressed her creativity through arts and crafts and drawing. Music filled her soul, and she had a special love for dogs, whose loyalty and companionship mirrored her own gentle spirit.

Kristi's kindness and warmth made her a friend to many. She had an unparalleled ability to uplift those around her with her sweet demeanor and loving heart. She will be remembered not only for her achievements but for the love she spread through her life, leaving a legacy that will resonate with all who knew her.

A funeral service to honor Kristi's life will be held on August 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Mount Hope Cemetery, San Diego. We invite all who knew and loved Kristi to join us in celebrating her life, cherishing the memories we shared, and remembering the light that she brought into our lives.
