Melvin Eugene Barnes II

Melvin is survived by his wife, Dolores Barnes; his son Michael Barnes (Janet) of Las Vegas, Nevada; his son Mark Barnes (Sheri Lynn) of El Cajon, California; his son Matthew Barnes (Bonnie) of North Bend, Washington; his son Martin Barnes (Amy) of Alpine, California; and his Step-daughter Analisa Bernadetto (Michael) of Santee, California.

Melvin is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren

Mel will be remembered as a loving, caring father and husband. Mel could be serious but with a dry sense of humor. Mel was a very respected supervisor for the phone company where he worked for 28 years. Mel read the newspaper everyday from cover to cover. Mel enjoyed his birthdays in Las Vegas every year, The Barona Casino (his favorite) and the "scratch and spit" get togethers with friends and coworkers in the desert.
