

Michael Irving Kallmeyer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on June 7, 2024, in San Diego, CA. He was born on August 24, 1942, in Tulsa, OK to proud parents Hebert and Mary Kallmeyer.
In late 1989, fate brought Michael and Marjie Kallmeyer together and their love story blossomed into a beautiful marriage. Their bond was a testament to the power of love and companionship. They found joy in each other's company every day.
Professionally, Michael was a successful restaurant owner, where he poured his passion for food and hospitality into every aspect of his work.
As a 28-year member of the Elks Club in El Cajon, Mike enjoyed participating in many club-sponsored activities over the years. The Wandering Elks was a motorhome group affiliated with the Elks Club of EL Cajon. Mike and Marjie enjoyed camping with this group monthly for many years.
Michael's legacy lives on through his surviving spouse, Marjie Kallmeyer, his sons, Barry Kallmeyer (Danielle) and Steven Kallmeyer (Jeff), grandsons, Zachary Kallmeyer and Matthew Kallmeyer, stepson David Herr, and granddaughters Rebecca Herr, Lisa Herr and Rosemarie Herr.
Michael will be laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, located on Bonita Road in Bonita, CA. In his memory Let us cherish the moments shared and carry forward the love and compassion he embodied throughout his life.
