Raymond is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Christine Gabaldon; his son Richard Gabaldon (Lorrie) of San Diego, and his daughter Christina Hoeffs Dobson (Jason) of San Diego; grandsons Ryan Hoeffs and Cameron Hoeffs of San Diego, granddaughter Hunter Staron-Ditmon of Spokane, Washington, Brother Fred Gabaldon of Phoenix, Arizona. Many beloved In-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Raymond was a lather who worked all over in San Diego county for nearly 40 years. When not working you could find him shooting at Lemon Grove Rod and Gun Club where he was a member since 1977. He also enjoyed hunting, archery and watching PGA golf. You may have also spotted him on his long nightly dog walks around El Cajon.
He will be most remembered for his caring nature, sense of humor and friendly personality. If you were around Raymond you got a story, a joke or a life lesson. Sometimes, all three.
Raymond’s greatest pride and joy was his family, who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life for Raymond will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Ronald Reagan Center, 195 E. Douglas Ave., El Cajon, CA 92020. Reception to follow.
