Rocio Del Pilar Buege

Rocio started to fill hearts with joy and smiles 43 years ago when she was born on June 2, 1974 in Trujillo, Peru. She spent her early childhood in Trujillo until she moved to Lima, Peru, where she attended grade school and High School. She always loved helping people and that later motivated her to become a nurse. She attended San Marcos University in Lima and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2000. Immediately after graduation, she worked at a large hospital in Lima. In 2002 she came to the United States (San Diego) on a fiancé visa and married Tim Buege. In 2003 they had their first daughter, Rachel and three years later the second daughter, Alice was born. She especially enjoyed spending time with her daughters and family giving all the love and care possible.

She worked daily with the family rental business and all the responsibilities entailed until her death. She loved to travel and during summers, she made frequent trips back to her native Peru. She also visited the western US, Hawaii, Europe and Mexico. She loved visiting local museums, parks and doing local road trips. Dancing, shopping and movies were some of her favorite activities too.

We will always remember Rocio as the strong, sweet woman she was. She fought her battles with courage and dignity and never lost hope while wearing a smile. Her memory shall remain in each one of us surviving her. There was no one like her, and her legacy will never fade.
