She was married to Robert A. David for 65 years. Robert passé away of cancer in 2001 in the same home. They were married on May 8, 1948.
They came to San Diego in September of 1959 from Keene, New Hampshire.
Ruth is survived by one sister, Muriel Couture of Springfield, MA, daughters: Cynthia D. Smith of Washington, PA, and Denise Kilgore of San Diego, CA. She was a loving grandmother to 9, Great grandmother to 18 and great great grandmother of 4.
Ruth loved line dancing, walking, reading and spending time with her friends and family. Ruth and Robert were members of the Mission Beach Boat and Ski Club. Together they traveled the world. She also enjoyed going to her exercise classes and Ti Chi class. Ruthie will be dearly missed.
Mass will be held at Our Mother of Confidence, July 06, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. The address is 3131 Governor Drive, San Diego, CA. She will be laid to rest with Robert at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in a private service.
