Ted crossed my mind this afternoon, and for some reason I thought to google him prior to just sending an email.  I haven’t heard from Ted in a couple years so I wasn’t surprised to see his obituary.  I met Ted and Carolyn around 2006 when we were neighbors in  Reno.   We were seated at the same table at the Arrowcreek Christmas party when Ted asked about  a tremor in my right hand.    We proceeded to share our respective Parkinson’s diagnosis and quickly became close friends.  The many evenings thereafter  we spent enjoying a bottle of fine wine in  stimulating conversation will forever be treasured.  I am blessed to have known Ted!

Oh..sweet Ted..and lovely Carolyn.  I worked at West Bond 25 years ago and met you both attending Kan Mizoguchi's party in Japan.  The entire group went to a ryokan and we all had kimonos and slippers for the group dinner.  To this day I still remember Ted coming out with his large foot in like a size 5 slipper and wearing his xx small kimono for his large frame...we all laughed so hard.  Carolyn...my condolences to you and the family..you and Ted were such a wonderful couple

I’m sorry this is late as I just learned of Ted’s death.  My sincere condolences to Tari and the entire Millice family.  I will always have fond memories of him & Carolyn!  He once told me, never forget to take some fruit for your labor.  I still try to always remember that.  Keep his memories close to your heart.  Love & Prayers ❤️🙏🏻✝️

For a man like Ted, there is just no limit to the wonderful memories that come to mind.  I first met Ted and Carolyn in 1968 when his little sister Virginia and I were making plans for our upcoming wedding.  You can imagine I was just a little nervous going to Seven Mile, Ohio to meet Jinny's two "big brothers!" I had met Jinny's mom and dad and knew what a wonderful and loving couple they were so I was hoping the brothers would be the same.  Sure enough, they were every bit as wonderful.  I must say that Ted was one of the most loving, gracious, and thoughtful people I ever knew.  I truly believe that Ted would have given a person the shirt off of his back.  Ted was absolutely dedicated to his three girls: Carolyn, Kim , and Terri.  Of course, in time he had several other girls AND boys (grandchildren) that he cared for just as deeply.  

Ted, I loved you!  What a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, and friend you were.  The world is a better place because of you!  It gives Carol and me great peace knowing that you are now fellowshiping, pain free with your mom, dad, and sister in heaven in the presence of our Lord.

What can you say about a wonderful man that was truly loved by all. He and Caroline always made us feel like family. He always wanted to know how things were going in our lives. He cared for everybody he truly will be missed. Thanks for all the good times at all your family gatherings love you grandpa. 

Ted was a wonderful man and he will be missed dearly.  I have had the pleasure knowing Ted and Carolyn for the last 15 years.  We had many meetings in the office, but we were also lucky enough to spend many birthdays and other occasions with them as well.  The one I will never forget is when my wife and I went cruising down Victorian Ave. in his GTO during Hot August Nights.  Ted loved that car and when he and Carolyn were out during that event it was like they were kids again and he would have this huge smile as he drove through town.  It was one of many special experiences I was lucky enough to share Ted and Carolyn and one I will never forget.  RIP my friend, and thank you for the many experiences that we were able to share with you.  

Wow I cannot say enough About what a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Son, Bother and friend to so many you were. I loved how you always took an interest in me and would always give me honest business advice to further my own business. Ted you and Carolyn were Like my parents too. I so thank you for everything you ever said or did for me. The beautiful thing about you is that all your children are just as smart and driven as you. You taught us all well and Thank you for always including me. I love you all!

My first memory of your Dad was when I was in the sixth grade.  I watched him and your mom start their family and then move to San Diego very early on.  It broke my heart to see them leave but look where they ended up. Not many marriages last as long of theirs. It was a beautiful relationship
When Connie, Bob and I  were out there last year in April your Dad kept saying how perfect the timing was for our visit.  I am so thankful that I got a chance to spend time with him and my dear sister and that I had the opportunity to tell him goodbye and that I loved him
I will miss him.  He was a wonderful guy and you are blessed to have had him as your Dad and Grandpa.    Love you all 




I will never forget Heavenly Way and you up early in the morning picking roses for granny. I will always remember the time that you carried me on your shoulders into the big swimming pool in Singapore. The time when you took me in the boat at Santee Lakes and how scared I was because I thought you would sink the boat! I will never forget all the times you came and saved my life. There were times that you weren't very supportive of my choices, but you always accepted me for who I am and always let me know when I was wrong. Thank you for always being there for me. My grampa was and always will be my best friend and greatest mentor. 

I've known Ted for around 60  years since he married my sister, Carolyn. They moved to San Diego a couple years out of high school.  As soon as they moved to San Diego the rest of the family started our yearly vacations to visit.  He started his own business which led them around the world. They got to see things the rest of us dream about.   He lived life to the fullness.  
My sister,  brother  and I were there last April. The last time we saw him.. 
Ted was an amazing man. He loved his family with everything he had. He was the most generous person I know. He never let anyone pick up the tab. He was so gracious to show us around San Diego and Reno as well when they moved there.  He was also 7 Miles football star. Everyone loved him. 
 Please keep Carolyn, Kim and Tari in your prayers along with the with the entire family. Loved and missed
