

William Ronald Robley was born January 22, 1936, to John and Vivian Robley in San Diego California. He attended Kearny High School and then joined the United States Army in 1953, serving proudly as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean Conflict. He made over 63 jumps in his career and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Following his Army service, he returned to San Diego and met his beautiful wife Georgia, to whom he was married for more than 65 years. Together they raised three children, Christopher, Stephen and Kimberly. William worked for Golden Arrow Dairy and Miller Dairy in San Diego for more than 20 years before embarking on a second career in the tour industry, working for Sun Diego Charter Company. His warm and witty personality charmed friends and clients alike.
William was deeply devoted to his family and gifted them with his time and talents. From long family camping trips to building train sets and tree houses, he created wonderful lasting memories for his children and grandchildren. William enjoyed gardening, home projects and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was always willing to help someone in need with his kind and caring spirit. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Georgia and always enjoyed sharing a good margarita with his beautiful bride. He was funny and charismatic and always had a good story or tall tale to tell. He will be remembered for warmth and kindness to others and for the love he so generously shared with family and friends. William will always be a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, and the memories held in the hearts of those who love him will endure forever.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Georgia, sons Chris (Amalia), Stephen (Michelle), Kimberly (Ron), and grandchildren Jordan, Courtney, Joseph, Cassie, Gabriel and Michael. He is survived by additional family members Gail Hartpence and Laurie Jones. He was pre-deceased by his parents, John and Vivian Robley and siblings Catherine, Sidney, Robert and Merle.
A Viewing and Rosary will be held Thursday, October 10th from 4pm to 8 pm at Dignity Memorial El Cajon Mortuary. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 9am, Friday, October 11th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church followed by interment with Military Honors at Miramar National Cemetery at 2:15pm.
Donations may be made in William’s honor to Rady Children’s Hospital and Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
