

Zoraida Monteagudo passed away peacefully on Valentine's Day after a long battle with Dementia.
She was born in Cuba and was a dedicated wife to Manuel Monteagudo, who preceded her in death on March 12, 2004.
Zoraida was a loving and dedicated Mother, Grandmother, and Parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in El Cajon, California for over 40 years.
She had a kind and friendly demeanor and was loved by everyone who knew her until her final days. Throughout her life, Zoraida was a seamstress and a small business owner while raising her daughters.
Zoraida loved dancing and playing the piano.
Zoraida and her family along with Celia Ortiz immigrated from Cuba to Spain in the early 70s to give their family a better life away from communism. The family left Spain in the late 70s and joined Manuel's brother, Luis Monteagudo, and his family in Queens, New York. When they arrived in America, they immediately found jobs and learned to speak English. Eventually, Zoraida, Manuel, and their two daughters along with Celia Ortiz relocated to California where they proudly became American citizens. Family in California includes youngest Daughter Zoraida (Zori) Tinker of San Diego, oldest Daughter Maria Costa Fink and Son-in-law Sol Fink of Phoenix, Arizona, and only Granddaughter Emma Costa of San Diego, California.

Mass 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 405 Ballard Street, El Cajon, CA 92019. Graveside Service immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Drive, San Diego, CA 92102. In lieu of flowers, the Family suggests donations be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Dementia Society America In Zoraida Monteagudo's name.
