Anna Barone Lewis

Anna Barone Lewis, 80 of Texarkana, TX, formerly of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at her residence. She was born January 18, 1934, to Salvatore and Rosaria Anzalone Barone in New York, NY.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Texarkana and was a homemaker. She was retired from South Arkansas Regional Health Center and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Angela Rose; and sister, Isabella Barone Pisani.

Survivors include her loving husband, Max Lewis of Texarkana, TX; two daughters, MaryBeth Simpson (James) of El Dorado, Jean Carrol Lewis of Irving, TX; son, Michael Kevin Lewis (Beth) of Calion; eight grandchildren, Renee Simpson, Alicia Simpson, Lewis Simpson, Teanna Lewis, Emily Lewis Kemp, Timothy M. Decker, Jr., Eugenie Decker, and Thomas Decker; eleven great grandchildren, Rayleigh, Haley, Jada, Ashlyn, Anna, Dillon, Abigail, Michael Christopher, John Patrick, Madelynn, and Olivia.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, Young’s Funeral Directors with a Rosary service beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Gregory Pilcher, OSB and Father Michael Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Holly Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
