Billie Johnette Travis

She was born July 27, 1935, in Camden, AR, and was the daughter of Otha Clarence and Ruby Taylor Bradford. On September 25, 1953, she married Rev. Donald H. Travis and worked along with her husband until his death. She was always an encourager and compassionate to those she knew. Johnette was a member of Lawson Baptist Church. Johnette was active in Women’s Mission throughout their ministry.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband of 58 years, Rev. Donald H. Travis.

She is survived by three children, Don A. Travis (Robin) of Lawson, Debbie Nutt (Gerald) of Camden, and DeAnna Sanders (Johnny) of Duncan, OK; six grandchildren, Michael Nutt of Rogers, AR, Brian Nutt (Rachel) of Rogers, AR, Kaci and Callie Travis of Lawson, Rachel Holland (Nathan) of Duncan, OK, Johnny Sanders, III of Duncan, OK; and two sisters, JoAnn Looney, and Janis Lusby (Granville) both of Camden.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Young’s.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Lyle Hern and Rev. Don A. Travis officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Horeb Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
