She was a member of Calion Assembly of God Church and worked as a secretary at Murphy Oil Corporation for 36 years.
Preceding her in death are her parents; and two brothers, Ernest Keith Parker and James Alfred Parker.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 49 years, John William “Bill” McCorvey of Calion; two sisters, Norma Anders (Ted) also of Calion, Wanda Ables Mings (David) of Texas City, TX; and two brothers, Jerry Lavon Parker (Ann), Donald Ray Parker (Brenda) both of Calion.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Young’s.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at Calion Assembly of God Church with Rev. Wendell Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Champagnolle Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
