Cathy Lyn Parnell

Cathy Lyn Parnell, 58 of El Dorado, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015. She was born April 12, 1957, to Jack and Catherine Holloway Richardson in El Dorado, AR. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church and was secretary for Norphlet High School.

Preceding her in death are her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 36 years, Mike Parnell of El Dorado; two daughters, Wesla Vanderford of Brandon, MS, Jennifer Parnell of Pescott, AR; six grandchildren, Andrew Wood, of El Dorado, Clay Parnell of Prescott, Camryn Wood of Brandon, MS, Ashlyn Parnell of Prescott, AR, Macie Wood of Brandon, MS, Jenna Parnell of Prescott, AR, one brother, Jack Dennis Richardson of Camden, AR; one sister, Mary Richardson Boyle of Doyline, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, at West Side Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Perry officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Boyle, Darien Gardner, Corey Kitchens, Tommy Mason, Chris Parnell, Stuart Parnell, Wayne Parnell, Donnie Thurmon, Kary White, Andrew Wood and Camryn Wood.
