Cecile Shackleford Taylor

She was a realtor and was employed by Milton Green Realty before starting her own realty company, Shackleford-Taylor Real Estate. She graduated from EHS in 1973, and attended Sweet Briar College in Lynchburg, VA and the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

She attended First Christian Church in El Dorado, where she gave the children’s sermon during the Sunday morning worship service. She loved to read, cook, flowers, and her beloved dogs, Jack & Jill.

Cecile was preceded in death by her husband, George Taylor. Also preceding her in death are her parents, Hope and Marshall Shackleford, Jr.

Survivors include her brother, John M. Shackleford, III, sister-in-law, Terri Shackleford of El Dorado; sister, Sheryl Wray; brother-in-law, Louie Wray of El Dorado; step-son, William Clayton Taylor of Fordyce,; and step-daughter, Claudia Elizabeth Taylor of El Dorado, step-niece, Stacy Marks of El Dorado; and step-nephew, Brian Marks of El Dorado.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. tonight, at Young’s.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at First Christian Church with Rev. Tom Whitworth officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

The family will be at 2500 Forest Lawn Dr. in El Dorado.
