Worked with this man for a few years and often remembered his professional and lighthearted humor.  Yes, he was A Ma Son, a joke he shared from his work.

My sincere condolences for your family’s loss. May God comfort you in the coming days. I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for the years of service Mr. Amason  gave to the community. 

Murry never missed a time of speaking if he saw me. Of course, this led to a lengthy "catch up" conversation. So sorry to hear of his passing. Praying for all of you! 

Sorry for loss. He was a great man and was loved. 

Mr. Amason as I always called him was a great level headed civil servant.  He kept us younger folks in line.  Wonderful person.  Always fun to talk with.  Had some great stories.   I pray he is at rest enjoying his just reward for all he did for this community as a civil servant.   Peace Mr. Amazon.    Job well done.   

I am so thankful for Mr. Amason. He was my dear friend. We sat together at Church along with Shelbi Candley at Calion Assembly of God. Shelbi & I also worked at the gas station on Calion Highway. He was a daily visitor. There was a night where a strange man came in the store and really tried to hurt  me. He did not know Mr. Amason was in the store. I was not able to get to a phone at that time. Murry came around the corner after hearing what the man was saying to me, and the man left as soon as he saw him. He knew Mr. Murry had worked for the police before. I am so thankful for him that night, he saved my life.  He told us a story about how he delivered a baby one night while working for the Sherriff. He had to walk across a lake to get to the woman. He was such a sweet soul. He always talked about how he loved his kids so much, and how he loved his wife and missed her. He always told me never to choose my job over the love of my life. He loved his wife and kids dearly. He was an amazing man. 

This man was so kind and had a lot of stories to share. He loved law enforcement  and family. When Charlie and I would run into him he and Charlie would talk forever about the past and family.  We will miss him so very much.

Murray was a unique person.
When the PD had the ambulance service. I worked in the ER. We made many ambulance runs to LR. He was a cut up. Loved pulling pranks. I've loved him for 50 yrs. He was a very special person and a very special friend. We shared the same birth date. He always tried to call me first on that date. RIL my friend.


Offering the entire family my sympathy.  Murray was a great man to be around and he could keep you interested with many life events, turned to stories .  

To the Amason family. I am so very sorry for your loss. Murray meant a great deal to me and my family. I will never forget his special nickname for me. His regular patrol when he was doing private security would bring him by where I worked graveyards. His visits as always were just at the right time. I am truly gonna miss him. He was one of a kind and God broke the mold when he made Murray. Rest now dear friend your watch is over. Until I see you again. 

It was a pleasure working with Murry when he was in law enforcement. He's now enjoying his eternal reward.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your father.  Your father always remembered me (Worth's daughter), and there was always a conversation to be had when we saw each other.  He was a good man and I know he will be missed.   I pray that your precious memories of him will be of comfort to you in the days and years ahead.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
