Born April 17, 1934 in El Dorado, Arkansas he was the son of Homer and Viola Williams Post, Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
Charles served in the U.S. Navy and later retired after a lifelong career as a railroad engineer.
Some of his most prized pastimes were fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth Post (Liz) and two daughters, Teresa McDonald and Debbie Hammond (Steven). His four grandchildren; Miranda Shelton, Tammy Waller, Chris Post (Brooke) and Ashley Post. Great-grandchildren; Dakota Waller, Kaylyn Fairris, Paydon Fairris, Ansley Jenkins, Hayden Jenkins and Baxter Post. Siblings; Linda Barker, Patty Newsom (Kenneth) and Joann Hibbler (John), and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., June 20, 2022 at Young's Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2022 in Young's Chapel with Bro. Benjy McCann officiating.
Interment will follow at Bethel Methodist Cemetery, US HWY 167 S, under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
