David W Hicks

Born July 11, 1949 in Smackover he was the son of William Howell Hicks, Jr. and Myrtis Delee Pannell Hicks. David was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norphlet.

Preceding him in death along with his parents was a sister, Linda Johnson.

Survivors include a sister, Connie Moore (Edward) of Norphlet, nieces and nephews, Marcie Allen, Wade Roberts (Shonda), Michelle Genusa (Bobby) and Erica Johnson and great nieces and nephews Kelcy Roberts, Hunter Allen and Haley Pettroff along with many cousins. Also surviving are close family friends, Bevis Roberts and Nelda Bates and David’s loving companion PeeWee Hicks.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Young’s Chapel with Rev. Heather Cadwell officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers will be Matt Moore, Bevis Roberts, Kolby Gay, Blake Downs, David Long, and John Bolding.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P. M. Monday at Young’s
