Born in El Dorado, AR to Homer R. and Anna Jewel McPherson, Dorinda spent most of her life in El Dorado, the community she loved to call home. She was the youngest of six sisters.
Dorinda is survived by her daughter, Delinda Galbraith Fogel, son-in-law, David, of Saint Johns, FL as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorinda was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Jewel, as well as her sisters, Juaniece Duck, Wanda Cowan, Barbara Weeks, Betty Waldron and Winona Williamson.
A 1962 graduate of El Dorado High School, Dorinda spent 43 years of dedicated service to Murphy Oil Corporation. During her tenure at Murphy Oil, she held a variety of positions starting in station reports, the file room, account payable, and progressed to purchasing agent. Dorinda spent her later years as the cheerful greeter and receptionist to Murphy Oil's callers and visitors before retiring in 2009.
Dorinda was a gifted pianist and former member of First Assembly of God Church in El Dorado. She loved to play and sing hymns. Dorinda was also an avid dog lover and enjoyed working crossword puzzles of all levels. Her greatest accomplishment was "raising my daughter to be successful".
In 2010, Dorinda moved to Jacksonville, FL to be near her only child, Delinda. Over the next 15 years, they learned to navigate Alzheimer's disease together. In spite of Dorinda's disease, she remained a happy, cheerful person and was always a favorite with the nursing staff.
