Dorothy Lou Loftin

Dorothy Lou Loftin, 91 of El Dorado, AR; died on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Life Touch's John R. Williamson Hospice House. Born on July 24, 1927 in Haynesville, LA; she was the daughter of Louie Franklin Langley and Mary Lou Murray Langley.

Saved at a young age, "Granny" married Wayne the love of her life when she was 15. Dorothy and Wayne were married 60 years when Wayne went to heaven in 2002. An active member of Three Creeks Baptist Church, Dorothy lived the life of the Proverbs woman always taking care of her family and always the submissive wife. A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, quilting, sewing and her Thursday night domino games. Most of all she loved caring for her family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maurice Wayne Loftin; two sisters, Marie Wilson and Marguerite Boutwell, a brother, Wayne Lavelle Langley and a son-in-law Billy Hanna.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Ella Pepper (James) of El Dorado & Wanda Harbour (Randy) of El Dorado, two sisters, Ruth Tibbs of El Dorado and Joyce Ringer of Hot Springs, AR; two brothers, Delton Langley of El Dorado & Larry Langley of Malakoff, TX; five granddaughters, Tammy Lambert of Midlothian, VA, Cindy Deeds of El Dorado, AR Connie Mohlenhoff of Daisy, AR, Dana Boyd of Lodi, AR & Lisa Wilson of Junction City, AR and one grandson, Steven Harbour of El Dorado, AR, thirteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Three Creeks Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Inmon and Rev. J. D. Weido officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Visitation will start one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
