Harvey Bruce Moore

Born March 27, 1934 in Smackover, he was the son of Peter Jack and Annie Ophelia Alexander Moore. Mr. Moore was a graduate of Smackover High School and on August 4, 1953 married Barbara Roberts in Arcadia, Louisiana.

Bruce retired from Philips Petroleum Company where he had been employed as a pumper. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Smackover.

Preceding him in death along with his parents were siblings, P. J. Moore, A. O. Moore, Johnny Moore, Ora Mae Moore Robins and Donald Moore.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Barbara Moore of Smackover, three sons; Chuck Moore (Cheryl) of Clearwater, FL, Steve Moore (Jan) of Smackover and Scotty Moore (Terry) of Bastrop, TX. Also surviving is a sister, Ruby Faye Clark, a sister-in-law, Edith Moore both of Smackover and 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Smackover with Rev. Leon Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Young's.
