Born on August 7, 1947 in El Dorado, AR; he was the son of E. Waldro Griffin and Evelyn Adney Griffin. Joel was a veteran and retired as an Auditor from the federal government after 39 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Joel was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jay Griffin and his wife Jacquelyn ‘Jackie’ Sanders Griffin.
Survivors are a brother Duane W. (Joyce) Griffin of Las Vegas, NV; a sister in law Rebecca (Ken) Rea of Ruston, LA along with several nieces and nephews including Michael Rea and Chris (Leah) Rea and their daughter Emma.
A graveside memorial services will be held at 11am, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Arlington Memorial Park with Pastor Scott Johnson of the East Faulkner Church of Christ officiating.
Memorial may be made to the Salvation Army or to a charity of your choice.
