He was born August 30, 1944, to J.T. and Opal Hayes Carey in El Dorado, AR. He worked as the manager for Lake Hamilton Resort and was of the Church of Christ faith.
Preceding him in death are his parents; and niece, Barbara Musgrave.
Survivors include his brother, Glenn Carey (Joecy) of Holiday Island, AR; and two nephews, John and Bobby Carey.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 5, 2016, at Hayes Cemetery in Norphlet under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Roy Smith officiating.
