

John H. Willett, Jr., 65 of Smackover, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. He was born February 23, 1946 to John H. Willett, Sr. and Marie Bull Willett in El Dorado.
John retired after over 50 years in the grocery business, having worked at A&P, Safeway, Harvest Foods, and Don’s Food Mart and was a member of First Baptist Church of Smackover, Mt. Moriah Lodge in Lisbon, and Norphlet Masonic Lodge #717. He was also an avid Razorback fan and member of the Arkansas Razorback Road Hogs.
Preceding him in death are his mother; and brother, William “Bill” Willett.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Parks Willett; daughter, Deborah Herring (Richard); son, Keith Willett (Mollie) all of Smackover; father, John Willett, Sr. of El Dorado; sister, Linda Ellis (Charles) of El Dorado; five grandchildren, Mason Willett, Karli Willett, Eli Willett, Trinity Herring, Alaina Herring; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins.
Visitation will held be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Young’s.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Smackover with Rev. Vaughn Blue officiating. Burial will follow at Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
