

Kathryn was a graduate of Mt. Holly High School. She was a longtime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
For many years, she was a teller at the Exchange Bank and Trust Co. She always enjoyed the camaraderie of her coworkers. One of her fond memories was attending the Miss Arkansas pageant in Hot Springs when Donna Axum was crowned Miss Arkansas.
After marrying Jim Hardee, she moved to Frankfurt, Kentucky, home of rolling hills, horse farms, and bourbon. She took a job at Farmers Bank and Trust Co. and worked there until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, sewing, and ceramics.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wood, aunts Ruth Baggett, Pauline Walker, Francis White; she is also preceded in death by her husband Jim Hardee; and son-in-law Bart Reed. She is survived by her daughter, Aleta Murph Reed, grandson Will Reed, and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be at 3 P.M. on Wednesday, May 29th at Young’s Funeral Home, with the service to follow at 4 P.M.
