Kermit Harold Benson Jr.

He served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. Kermit loved to go hunting and fishing, and he loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He worked at Colonial Bakery for 18 years, and he retired from Con Agra as a maintenance supervisor. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, El Friede Benson of El Dorado; one daughter, Yvonne Head and husband, Scott Head; as well as five sons, Thomas Benson and wife, Marla Benson, Robert Benson, James Benson, Kenneth Benson and wife, Lu-ann Benson, and Phillip Benson, who was his best friend; a brother, James Benson; two sisters, Janice Chapman and Peggy Davis; plus a slew of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Bible Baptist Church with Bro. J.D. Weido officiating. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors.
