She was born February 10, 1928, in Searcy, Arkansas, the daughter of Metza Dee Powell and Annie Mae Overstreet Powell. She was a Pentagon Stenographer for the U.S. Navy and a homemaker. Also, she was a seamstress, and enjoyed crafts and painting.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, James E. Powell.
Survivors include her husband, William Alton (Bill) Sartor of El Dorado; sons, Paul D. Sartor and his wife, Sue of Hampton, Arkansas, and Byron D. Sartor of Longview, Texas; daughter, Mitzi Lambert and her husband, Roger of Hampton, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; honorary family member, Diane Green of Longview, Texas.
Graveside service were at 2:00pm, Monday, April 22, 2013, at Chidester Cemetery, Chidester, Arkansas, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors, with Gene Boyette officiating.
