Mary Ethel Pickering

She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She dearly loved her church family at Parkview Baptist where she was an active member for over 66 years and was church hostess for 20 years. Mrs. Pickering enjoyed cooking, sewing, and arts and crafts.

She is preceded by her parents, and her husband Powell Pickering. Also preceding her are her granddaughter, Stacy Saulsbury Bedwell; and her sister, Mildred Gordan.

Surviving her are her three daughters, Julie Ann Pickering of Dallas, TX, Janie Griffin of El Dorado, AR, and Celi Paciello of Plano, TX. She is also greatly missed by her grandchildren, Stephanie Usrey, Matthew Griffin, Allison Griffin, and Delani Paciello. Also surviving her are great grandchildren, Trent and Blake Bedwell, and James and William Usrey.

Visitation will be Monday night from 5:00pm until 7:00 pm at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Overton and Rev. Tommy Robertson officiating. Services will be Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the church with burial following at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
