

Maxine Elizabeth McCorvey, 93, of Junction City passed away, Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Timberlane Health & Rehabilitation in El Dorado, AR. She was born March 23, 1924, to Sonn Morris and Annie Baker Massey in McHue, AR.
She was a member of Scotland Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. Maxine enjoyed cooking and sharing recipes. She loved her flowers, gardening, and her church. She served as in elder in the church for many years. She also loved to sew and crochet hats for Samaritan’s Purse.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, John William McCorvey, Sr.; sister, Madeline Massey, nephews, Ricky Massey, Jimmy McCorvey; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn McCorvey.
She is survived by her son, John William “Bill” McCorvey, Jr., of Calion; nieces, Gloria Estes (Tim) of El Dorado, Janis Lawson (Bill) of Hot Springs; nephew, Mike McCorvey (Belinda) of Smackover; several great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and will greatly missed by many friends.
The family wishes to thank Timberland Health and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care Maxine received.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at Scotland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Pete Elliott officiating. Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
