Rev. Oliver Francis Jensen, 87, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Heritage Living Center in Conway, AR. He was born on March 31, 1925, to Oliver M. Jensen and Alta Mae Stuckey in Stuttgart, AR.
Oliver was a member and former minister of the Cross Roads Baptist Church. He was a former leader in the local Boy Scouts of America. Oliver retired from Arkansas Power and Light Company after 30 years. He served in the Navy during WWII. Oliver enjoyed hunting with his friends at the local Yocum Deer Camp.
He is preceded in death by both his parents and his beloved wife, Theresa Virginia Crew Jensen.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Sheri Jensen of Louann; sister, Aileen McWilliams of Shreveport; grandchildren, Matt Jensen, Michael Jensen, Jason Fries, Jeanette Harris, Robyn Timms, Michelle Segura; nieces, Sharon Walls and Gail Church; 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27, in Young’s Chapel with Rev. Chuck Hutcheson and Rev. Johnny Carter officiating.
