Pauline Goodwin

Born February 8, 1920, she was the daughter of Thomas Oliver Trees and Mary Elizabeth Bell. She worked as assistant manager of Magneto Service, was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Eastern Star for 50 plus years, where she held many state, local and district offices, Joy Club and the WEOS of First Baptist Church. Pauline will be remembered for her love of butterflies and for cutting and baling her own hay.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thee Otis Goodwin; and grandson, Scotty Henley.

Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Hildebrand of El Dorado, Paula J. Goodwin (Fred Franklin) of Calion, and Mary Lane Sandlin (David) of Little Rock, AR; sister, Ramona Carraway of Dallas, TX; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Young’s.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Pelz officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
