Ronald Ron Eugene Lane

He was born February 1, 1947 in Scottfield, IL to Charles Franklin Lane and Nellie Louise King. Ron retired from Great Lakes and worked as a traffic manager at Lee’s Trucking.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one daughter, Sherri Lynn Lane.

Survivors include his wife, Dovie Lane of El Dorado, a son, Charles Lane and his wife Jennifer of El Dorado; a daughter, Amanda Loftin of El Dorado; two step-sons, Steven Bunker and Patrick Bunker and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Kenny Burger, Sherri Lane, Paige Dickens, Allison Loftin, Julianne Loftin, Ashley & Emily Bunker, Kaytlyn Davis and Anna & Michael Bunker and two sisters, Linda Franzen and her husband Gary of San Antonio, TX and Annette Perin and her husband Bob of Palestine, TX.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Mt. Union Baptist Church with Bros. David Preston and Jim Kerr officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery South under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the funeral home.
