He was preceded by his parents; his grandparents, John and Ovie Greer; a son, Barry Huffstetler.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ann; his children, sons, Danny Greer (Nichol), Matt Kennedy; daughters, Becky Dixon, Deanna Allen, Cammie Poole; his grandchildren, Taylor and Austin Greer, Dillion, Jessi and Heather Kennedy, Ashley Allen, Sidney Poole, great grandchildren, Liam, Haley, Emily, Layla, Alora; Azlynn and Madison; his sisters, Joann McDiarmid (Glenn), Kay Wilson; brothers, Donnie Greer (Linda), Michael Greer (Nancy), Johnny Greer (Rachel), Rusty Greer (Beverly); and a host of nieces and nephews and "Unc" to many others.
Eddy lived his life to the fullest whether it was "Little Britches Rodeo", training horses, bull riding, driving a truck, 26 years firefighting with the El Dorado Fire Department, or at the chuck wagon races. Chuck wagon races is where his accident happened, doing what he loved. He will be missed by a legion of friends who became family.
Memorial service (come as you are) to honor and remember Eddy will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm , Wednesday, September 20, 2023 and from 12 pm until service time Thursday at Bethel Chapel Family Life Center on Parkers Chapel Road.
Funeral services will be 2 pm, Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Bethel Chapel Family Life Center with Ricky Hogan, Chad White, and Steve Moss officiating. Burial will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
