

She was preceded in death by her husband Wiley Doyne Frisby, father Jack C. Swails, mother Opal Monell Cowley Swails, and brother Jack C. Swails Jr.
Mrs. Frisby and James Edward Smith, Jr were the loving and proud parents of two sons James Edward "Trey" Smith III ( Allyson) of Bossier City, LA, and Justin Alan Smith, DDS of El Dorado, AR, and proud grandparents of Hayden and Jack Henry Smith of Bossier City.
Sheri owned and operated a cosmetics business in Norphlet, AR for many years. She acquired her aviation pilots license early in life. After marrying W.D. Frisby, they established a construction business through the 1980’s. Thereafter, they were the founding partners of Progressive Contracting where she served as President and CEO. She was skilled in operating construction equipment and a gifted businesswoman. As business prospered, they established Frisco, Inc, in Patterson, LA specializing in tugboat and barge marine logistics. Mrs. Frisby was one of the first female tugboat captains licensed by state of LA.
She was loved by many and always willing to help those in need. She loved Christ, family, and friends (and her catfish “extra” crispy).
Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Young's.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
