He was born September 13, 1950 to Vernon Lee Young, Sr. and Florence Berg Young. Vernon worked in general maintenance at Prescolite.
Preceding him in death are his parents and two brothers, Marvin and Nathan Young.
Survivors include his wife Bobbie Rodgers Young of 40 years; two children, Brandon Young and Ryan Young both of El Dorado.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
