Bill was born on December 25, 1937 in Sandy Bend Community near Strong; he was the son of Searcy and Birdie Gibson Saunders. Bill was a farmer and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working his cattle.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers S.L., Jim, and John Saunders; his sisters Mary Martin, Helen Vaughn, Dru Thomason, Ann Jennings and Joy Russell.
Survivors are his wife of 66 years Ethel Duke Saunders; son Greg Saunders; grandchildren Allan Saunders his wife Megan and Amber Saunders; great grandchildren Ava Shell and Eli Shell along with a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Young’s Funeral Directors, Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Cremation services provided by Young Funeral Directors.
