Adam Duran, age 75 was born on November 16, 1946 to Maria H. Garcia and Jose Maria Duran. He passed away on October 17 2022 surrounded by family. He was a plumber with the company Thompson and Sharp for four years and was a respected welder with Elephant Butte irrigation district for 21 years. He retired from Gadsden Independent school district after 14 years. He was a loving husband and father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Adam was preceded in death by his mother, Maria H. Garcia and his father, Jose Maria Duran by his grandmother, Josefa Duran, his grandfather Pedro Duran, by his sisters Eva Torres,Margarita Alonso, and Teresa Gutierrez. Adan Duran is survived by his spouse, Martha Duran, his daughters, Cindy and Alisa Duran, son-in-law Jason Guzman, his sisters, Rita Landeros, Maria Isabel Jacobson ,Olga Moreno and his brothers, Joel Rosales and Gabriel Hernandez.
Mr. Duran leaves behind six grandchildren to cherish his memory, Jonathan Adam Duran, Jason, Nathaniel Guzman, Jacob Raymond Guzman, Christina Josefina Ortiz, Sarah Ann Ortiz, Amber Elizabeth Chacon, and husband Gabriel Chacon.
A visitation for Adan Duran will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home - West, 5054 Doniphan Drive, El Paso, TX 79932. A prayer service will occur Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Hillcrest Funeral Home-West, 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso, Texas 79932. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, Texas 79906.
