Alfonso “Al” Flores III, 66, lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas, was called home to the Lord on January 24, 2025. He was born to parents Alfonso Skin Flores and Esperanza Ibarra Flores on August 5, 1958.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Marcos Antonio Flores, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Alfonso is an alumnus of the Andress High School Class of 1976. Before starting his career, his early employment history consisted of Texas Instruments, newspaper carrier, home daycare center provider and salesman at Nissan Motor Company. Upon graduating as Salutatorian from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Services, he began his career as a funeral director for funeral homes throughout Dallas and El Paso TX; he retired from Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn in 2020, in which many co-workers became lifelong friends.
Alfonso was a Jack of All Trades, he always kept a hobby at home and stayed active in the community. His activities included being a bingo announcer at the local bingo hall, a high school football chain gang referee, an avid bowler, fisherman, golfer and a site-seer. He also enjoyed his “Roundie-Rounds” which consisted of a stop at his local bar and pool hall for drinks with friends.
As a meticulous funeral director, Alfonso always made sure families' needs were well taken care of, and his family was no exception. His last funeral arrangements were his own. Alfonso is remembered as a kind and personable gentleman. He was the life of the party and always tried to make people laugh with his silly antics. Our loving Al, a son, a partner, a best friend, a brother, a father, and a grandpa, will be greatly missed.
Alfonso is survived by his Loving Mother, Elia Jimenez Flores (who raised him from age 12). Daughters, Monique Cherie Molina (Gabriel) and Crystal Marie Nunez (Michael). Sons, Alfonso Jesus “AJ” and Benjamin Flores (Ashly). Grandchildren, Christian, Nevaeh, Austin, Briana, Adam, Kiyan, and his expected grandchild. Alfonso is also survived by the love of his life, soulmate and “BFF” Maria Luisa Coria.
