With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Amalia A. Gomez, who went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2025.
Born on July 17, 1929, Amalia was a woman of remarkable strength, unwavering faith, and profound love. She was a warrior in every sense — steadfast through life’s challenges and always grounded in her devotion to God and her family. Her faith in the Lord Almighty guided her every step, and she lived her life as a shining example of grace, resilience, and compassion.
Amalia dedicated her life to her loved ones, nurturing her daughter and grandchildren with patience, understanding, and unconditional love. Her family was her greatest joy, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and prayer. Her legacy of faith and family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Elvia Montoya Jara (Manuel Jara), her granddaughters, Elizabeth Jara, Claudia Jara, Fabiola Jara, and Priscilla Jara, her beloved great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Carlos Gomez; mother, Magdalena Araiza; father, Anastacio Alfaro; and three siblings.
