

In Loving Memory, Antonio (Tony) Medrano, Born at El Paso, Tx Mar. 28, 1921 - Apr.21, 2016. Tony passed into eternal rest at the VA Hospital in Tucson. Preceded in death by his loving wife Celia of 47 years, his beloved parents, Jesus and Manuela Medrano, his brothers, Pedro, Luis, Jesus Jr. sister Carmen Romero and his grandson Ryan Newton. He is survived by his children from his first marriage Christybelle (Dale) Adams, Earl (Dacia) von Buck, Cynthia Newton and grandchildren all from California, his brothers Fidel (Cuca), Joe (Berta), Charlie and sisters Lucy Barletta, Mary Carroll and Meme (Gonzalo) Alvarado, sister in law Ruth Gonzalez, goddaughter Rosie Gomez and many nieces and nephews and extended family members who will miss him dearly. Tony and his family were very proud of his service to his country during WWII, he retired from Wiggs Appliance Co. after 30 years as a service technician. He had a love of sports especially golf and spent many a day with his friends and family at Ascarate Golf Course. He was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Tx. a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Alabama and cherished his memories of growing up in the neighborhood. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 5-9pm with a vigil at 7pm at Hillcrest. Mass will be on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 9:15am at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 2709 Alabama with Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave; ETA 10:30am. Services are under the direction of Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina, 598-3332.
