Armanda Jesus (Nava) Esparza

Our loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Armanda Jesus Nava Esparza, 96, passed into glory on July 21, 2024. She was born in Los Angeles, California on October 13, 1927. Armanda is preceded in death by her parents Jose and Maura Nava, her husband of 66 years Rodolfo Esparza, siblings Josefina Poblano, Antonio Nava, Maria Luisa Gurrola, Felipe Nava and granddaughter Kristabel Esparza.

Armanda loved her Lord Jesus. She was a prayer warrior for her family and was dedicated to reading her Bible every day. Her most favorite time was spending time with her family. After every visit she would tell us “God bless you and open your eyes”. Wherever life took us in this world, her door was always open to us. She always welcomed us home with open arms and was always ready to make us something to eat.

We all agree she was one of the best cooks in El Paso. She made delicious Mexican dishes, and her homemade tortillas were the best. Her personal favorite foods were enchiladas, Atole, and pan dulce.

Armanda’s favorite color was purple, she enjoyed drawing, painting, crocheting, embroidering, dangling sparkle earrings, shopping, decorating for Christmas, and tending her rose garden. She liked many types of flowers, but her favorite were sunflowers.

Classic movies with actors Pedro Infante and Cantinflas were her favorite. She also couldn’t miss watching her novelas; which included Patito Feo. Some of her favorite musician groups were Trio Los Panchos, Los Diamantes and Los Tres Ases.

Armanda in survived by her children: Adolfo (Terrie) Esparza, Alma Rosa Munoz, Jesus (Aurora) Esparza, and Juan Francisco (Irene) Esparza.

Grandchildren: Adan Esparza, Cherie (Roger) Curb, Jannelle (Glen) Fuller, Javan Esparza, Ely Esparza, Jesse Esparza, Benjamin (Selina) Esparza, Cristina Munoz, Saul Munoz, David (Ashley) Esparza, Maria (Edward) Daffron, Ramon Cortez and Cristina Allen.

Great Grandchildren: Benaiah Curb, Joshuah Curb, Hezekiah Curb, Ezekiel Fuller, Ezra Fuller, Christian Esparza, Isaiah Esparza, Carlos Esparza, Xavier Hoppe, Alex Hoppe, Alex Martinez, Franco Martinez, Marco Martinez, Ramon Daffron and Edward Daffron.

Including numerous caring nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Armanda will be held Monday, July 29, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Drive, El Paso, TX 79936. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Crosspoint Church, 11995 Montwood Dr, El Paso, TX 79936. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Evergreen Cemetery East,12400 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79938.
