Arturo Tellez

Arturo Tellez, of El Paso, passed away on Thursday, April 23rd, 2026. He was 99 years old. He was the middle child of three siblings, Luis and Rosie. Arturo was a proud United States veteran. He volunteered to serve in the Navy during the Second World War, becoming a radar technician aboard a cargo ship traveling through the Pacific Islands. He worked for many years at Ft. Bliss and eventually retired from the commissary. He was married to Maria Teresa (Gardea) Tellez for 51 years until her passing in 2010. He is survived by his three children: Joseph Tellez, and his wife, Renee; Aurora Porras, and her husband, Mike; and Claudia Tellez. They were blessed with 9 grandchildren: Jacqueline, Laura, Santiago, Jesse, Analisa, Frank, Mary, Teresa, and John Paul; and 5 great grandchildren; Lily, Jase, Azalea, Noah, and Everly.
