Bernabe Munoz Jr.

Bernabe "Mave" Muñoz Jr., 84, passed away Saturday, January 02, 2016. Mr. Muñoz was a United States Air Force Veteran who served in the Korean conflict and was employed by the United States Postal service for 36 years. He coached football and baseball with the Southeast T-Birds for 10 years and was a proud Bowie Bear and a member of the 49'ers alumni club. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Amparo and their children, Robert & Kristi Muñoz, Barbara Shull, Bernie & Maria Muñoz, Stephen & Patricia Muñoz, Victor & Nancy Muñoz, Matthew & Samantha Muñoz. Ten grandchildren; Kirsten Shull, Christopher Shull, Travis Shull, Jordan Muñoz, Joshua Muñoz, Stephen Muñoz Jr., Jeffrey Muñoz, Monique Muñoz, Austin Muñoz and three great-grandchildren; Keira, Ariani, Sophia. Visitation Wednesday, January 6th from 5:00pm to 9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina, with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass Thursday, January 7th 11:30am at San Antonio de Padua 503 Hunter. Interment will follow at 1pm at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery West Shelter. In lieu of flowers the Muñoz family asks that donations be made in his honor to the American Parkinson Disease Association
