Bertha Alicia Plascencia

Bertha Alicia Plascencia, 81, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family on April 9th, 2026 in El Paso, Texas. She was born to José Plascencia and Esperanza Verdin Plascencia in Guadalajara, Jal. on June 30th, 1944.

Bertha worked as a seamstress for many years until retiring to be with family. She struggled in life but found happiness with family, friends, caring for the family pets and activities such as: sewing, working on crossword puzzles, going to the beaches in Mexico, sitting by the fire, enjoying nature, watching telenovelas and animal documentaries, and studying the bible.

Bertha is preceded in death by her father José Plascencia, her brother Hugo Plascencia, and her twin baby boys.

Bertha is survived by her children; Danny Hauck, Cindy Cozart, Alma Reynoso, and Diana Borman and by her 7 grandchildren; Joseph Cozart, Bryan Cozart, Angel Reynoso, Melanie Reynoso, Hailey Reynoso, Mia Lopez, and Icelin Borman. She also leaves behind her mother, Esperanza Verdin, and 12 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, US, on April 20, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, US, on April 20, 2026, beginning at 7:00 pm.
