

Chad T. Corbin, 32, formally of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Providence Memorial Hospital, El Paso, Texas, surrounded by his parents and sister. His death was the result of a long-term childhood illness of the liver. Chad was born on November 25, 1978, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Tim and Sue (Smith) Corbin.
In 1997, Chad graduated from North High School, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2002, with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, Chad was employed by US Investigations Services (USIS) as a Special Investigator with the Minneapolis District. It was Chad’s dream to pursue a career with the Department of Justice and he fulfilled that dream in June of 2005. His assignments included Riverside, CA and El Paso, TX. Chad enjoyed reading, traveling, going out to eat with friends, finding a good bargain, and spending time with his family, but most of all Chad loved being an uncle to his only nephew, Corbin. Born with a caring nature, sense of humor and blessed with honorable character, principles, and integrity, Chad was an exceptional Agent, beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, friend and truly an outstanding person who touched the lives of many people all over the world.Chad is survived by his parents, Tim and Sue Corbin, his sister, Sara (Andy) Osegard, his nephew, Corbin Osegard, his grandmothers, Evelyn Smith (Marshfield) and Hannah Corbin (Wausau). His aunts, Lois, Patty (Jack), Judy, Vicki (Dick), Janice (Fred), Brenda, Wendy (Dave), Nancy (John) and his uncles, Pat (Pam) and Jeff (Cathy). Chad is also survived by numerous cousins, friends and his extended DEA family. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Pat Smith and Duane Corbin. We would like to thank Chad’s DEA family for their kindness and support throughout this difficult time. We couldn’t have made it without their constant care and support. A celebration of Chad’s life will take place at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1804 Highland Ave., Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Pastor Christine Emerson will officiate. Visitation will take place from 12:00 pm until the time of service.
