Consuelo Evans

Consuelo (Connie) Evans, born on November 14, 1934, passed away at home on Thursday, August 13, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Antonia Meraz. She is survived by her loved ones: Husband: Donald E. Evans Jr.; Children: Joel Gutierrez (Terri), Yvonne Lara, and Robert Gutierrez; Grandchildren: Abel Lara, Andrea Hernandez (Alex), Ariana Gutierrez, Chantel Gutierrez, Erin Gutierrez, Jollen Gutierrez (Edgar), Lauren Gutierrez (Matthew), and Robert Gutierrez Jr.; Great-Grandchildren: Eric Gutierrez, Ethan Gutierrez, Jaylyn Gutierrez, Lorelai Hernandez, Madison Guerrero, Nicolas Medina, Oliver Montes and Rory Hernandez; Brothers and Sisters: Jovita Rosencrans (Carlos), Maria Elena Battaglia (Anthony), Soledad Fierro (Fred), Jesus Meraz (Graciela), Sara Duran (Armando), Juan Meraz (Dora), Rachel Grijalva (Juan), Luis Meraz (Cecilia), and Rose Meraz; and beloved nieces and nephews. We thank God for blessing us with Connie, our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. We thank family, sisters, brothers and friends for the numerous acts of kindness and love during this difficult time. We give special thanks to Gloria, David, Irma and Lourdes at Envisions Hospice and Laura Gutierrez, Denise Servo, Ruth Femat and Robert Berroteran, Jr. for their caring help and support. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 5-9 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home with Eulogy at 7pm. Services entrusted to Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 N. Carolina 598-3332.
